My experience with OLS – OnLineStorageSolutions, now renamed to Mankaya:
it is a poor service: it is cheap, but it doesn’t give you what they say, and above all,
YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR DATA !!!
At the beginning, they offered a “so called” unlimited storage, but in fact it was a shared AjaxPlorer istance:
it was affected by several file corruptions, slowness, it was practically unusable.
I had to email Stephen Bennett almost every day, asking him to fix troubles.
Some months later, maybe they got tired for that, and changed their offer: a self-styled VPS, but
I HAD TO PAY 50$ MORE
Initially it was an Ubuntu VPS, but it was still slow and flooded with problems.
So even more emails……. Then they decided to give me a FreeBSD VPS: ok, it was a little better.
Sometimes it was unreachable because of a traffic overload.
It was always slow anyway.
They had promised you can use plex on that “VPS”: yes, you could……but only if you reduced quality down to 200kbps (very poor).
The good thing was that you had a SSH access (not root ! they had root privileges on your personal data!!).
When it looked that everything was going OK,
my VPS abruptly stopped to work
It is about 2 weeks I am sending emails, but they don’t even answer.
So, I probably lost all my data.
DON’T TRUST ONLINESTORAGESOLUTIONS aka MANKAYA
YOU’LL WASTE YOUR MONEY
If you search over internet, you will find other reviews similar to this: it is not the first time that they cheat customers.
